SSL Certificates have been in use for almost 15 years, and they continue to serve a vital role in protecting data as it travels across the Internet and other networks. From online financial transactions to e-commerce to product development, SSL Certificates make it possible for users around the world to communicate sensitive information with the confidence that it is safe from malicious hackers. The Internet has evolved in innumerable ways over the past decade and a half; so why do SSL Certificates continue to instill trust? Nothing is more top of mind for marketers than attribution. It’s a complex topic, and there are lots of questions. Should you measure only the first click, or the last click? Should you also measure views? Should you combine view measurement with click measurement? How long should you wait to give credit to user activity?

With its almost paternal regard for its associates, safety has always been a big concern at Shamrock Foods. To meet and exceed government standards for the dairy industry, a totally sterile environment must be maintained and many chemicals are used in the sanitation process. While safety signage existed everywhere, in 2010 there were eight incidents related to associates being injured with chemicals.
Hand protection is so important that it is required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The Agency has mandated that employers provide, at no cost to employees, almost all personal protective equipment (PPE)—this includes cut-resistant gloves.
Gloves are valuable protective devices but do not give absolute protection. Their effectiveness depends on how the PPE is chosen, used, and stored. Selecting the best glove to protect your employees’ hands can actually be a complex task. Many types of gloves are available and each has different uses. But the right cut-resistant hand protection does make a difference.

Looking at IT security history, the bad guys were always far more sophisticated than the people who tried to stop them. Find the path to success in business requirements definition and management. Technology pervades almost every aspect of corporate competitiveness from customer experience to the products and services offered. Companies that do a poor job at requirements definition and management have trouble communicating needs between the business and technology operations. This inability to clearly and efficiently communicate business needs will eventually show up in the fiscal results of even the largest publicly traded companies.

Words like “integrated” and “centralized” have been used to describe application software solutions for some years now, often because of marketing messaging that implies more interoperability than the given technology can actually provide to the business customer. The terms are broad enough to be almost meaningless in some instances. In the field of IT security, the sheer range of tools and techniques in the hacker or virus writer’s armory that one must guard against has driven up the number of solutions required to prevent attacks.

There is a remarkable transformation in how people access systems and information. Mobile devices are rapidly overtaking computers as the primary information consumption means. In a recent report, The Economist has projected a growth in the number of mobile devices to reach 10 billion by 2020 and the shipment of mobile devices to be almost two times that of laptops and PCs as early as 2013.
Using mobile applications is much more than a trend these
days—it’s a way of life. Whether you want to map directions,
find a restaurant, look up your flight details, see where your next meeting is, or just check your email, chances are you do it on your smartphone. Consumer applications and games were the first to hit the market on mobile phones, and soon after enterprise applications followed suit. Banking is going mobile, retail is going mobile, and even HP Application Lifecycle Management (HP ALM) software has a mobile version—HP ALM Mobile.
