As businesses are driven to digital transformation by changing market forces and customer expectations, many are looking to new technologies, including new infrastructure environments, as enablers. As a result, we are seeing a near-universal appetite for hybrid outcomes as business functions are executed across multiple on-premises and external infrastructure environments in pursuit of agility, cost, performance and other business benefits. Hybrid IT has become a key strategic imperative for a large portion of enterprises, impacting their IT objectives and expectations, and likely leading to new engagements with service provides for help designing, building and operating hybrid environments.

Digital transformation is a strategic imperative to modernize technology in response to new business realities. Businesses increasingly view hybrid cloud as a critical component of this transformation to enable greater agility, efficiency, and productivity. IT organizations need the right technology approaches and partnerships to make their cloud transition as effective and successful as possible.

IT organizations are no longer just a business support function and cost center—they are expected to drive business as part of the core corporate strategy. Adding to this, IT landscapes continue to increase in complexity, complicating management and innovation.
Digital transformation helps IT adapt to these changes. Building a hybrid or multi-cloud IT environment can help you transform successfully. An effective cloud environment can provide:
• Improved infrastructure management and flexibility
• More time for IT to focus on strategic projects rather than manage data centers.
• Better IT cost management
In fact, 49% of companies cite “modernized IT infrastructure and technologies with increased agility, flexibility, manageability, and security” as a digital initiative on their long-term roadmap.

A new era of business reinvention is dawning. Organizations are facing an unprecedented convergence of technological, social and regulatory forces. As artificial intelligence (AI), automation, Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain and 5G become pervasive, their combined impact will reshape standard business architectures. The “outside-in” digital transformation of the past decade is giving way to the “inside-out” potential of data exploited with these exponential technologies.
Digital transformation is a business enabler, one that also translates to an increase in the demand for greater storage capacity and performance. This increasing demand requires IT organizations to re-examine their data storage strategy as the growth in capacity doesn’t align with a shrinking IT budget. To support the growth of the business and remain competitive in a global digital market, CIOs are asked more than ever to “do more with less,” while improving performance and availability at the same time.
Digital disruption, economic instability, political upheavals and skills shortages have all at some point in the past 24 months been blamed for business failure, or at the very least, lost profitability and earnings.
It’s perhaps not a huge surprise that a Gartner CEO survey on business priorities revealed that digital business is a top priority for next year. Survey respondents were asked whether they have a management initiative or transformation program to make their business more digital. The majority (62 percent) said they did. Of those organisations, 54 percent said that their digital business objective is transformational while 46 percent said the objective of the initiative is optimisation.*
So, for businesses it’s a case of learning to evolve and be agile, to use technology to help compete more efficiently and not fall victim to inertia. As businesses become increasingly dependent on the insights from data analytics and face-up to competition fuelled by the 24/7 society of in

Every commercial organization wants to grow. THrough its unlimited processing power Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the power to make that growth a reality. However, established workflows and processes often hamper the application of true AI, so how do organizations get started on digital transformation without disrupting their existing operations?
Intelligent content holds the key to digital transformation. But what do we mean by intelligent content? How does it all aid digital transformation? How do you take your first steps forward for building an intelligent formation for AI? What are the misconceptions around AI-led transformations?
This paper provides you with the answers.
Component Content Management: A New Paradigm in Intelligent Content Services
While technology has changed the world, the way that companies manage information has inherently stayed the same. The advent of near-ubiquitous connectivity among applications and machines has resulted in a data deluge that will fundamentally alter the landscape of content management. From mobile devices to intelligent machines, the volume and sophistication of data have surpassed the ability of humans to manage it with outdated methods of collection, processing, storage, and analysis. The opportunity afforded by the advent of artificial intelligence (AI) has stimulated the market to search for a better way to capture, classify, and analyze this data in its journey to digital transformation (DX). The paradigm of document-based information management has proven to be a challenge in finding, reusing, protecting, and extracting value from data in real time. Legacy systems may struggle with fragmented information
In today’s digital world, technologies such as cloud have become commonplace to take digital transformation projects to the next level. But while cloud is critical to business transformation success, Australian IT decision-makers (ITDMs) still feel that the C-suite does not understand the time and complexity of the journey.
This paper explores:
• Insights on challenges faced by Australian ITDMs when rolling out cloud projects
• The role of the ITDM today
• Key blockages IT stakeholders encounter when driving digital change, and;
• What they need from the business and wider technology ecosystem to navigate the risks associated with starting a cloud project or moving to a full cloud-first model.

business intelligence and analytics decision

asked about benefits realized, challenges to
success, priorities, and investments—and most

As in the previous year’s survey, respondents
had no doubt about the importance of data and

that, as the reality of 2020 and a new decade of
accelerated innovation set in, a smaller set of
leaders were confident in their progress to date.
