By 2020, Gartner predicts 100% of new entrants to IT – and 80% of historical vendors –
will offer subscription-based business models to their customers. These organizations are
prioritizing the cloud over on-premises data centers and legacy software, so they can more
efficiently deliver highly available, scalable, and cost-effective service offerings.
To remain competitive, you need to modernize your approach to .NET development – and
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the ideal place to start.
This whitepaper will explore best practices for containerizing your Windows workloads on
AWS, including how to design your containers, which AWS services to leverage, and how
to modernize your existing .NET applications for the cloud.
Securing cloud environments is different from securing traditional data centers and endpoints.
The dynamic nature of the cloud requires continuous assessment and automation to avoid
misconfigurations, compromises, and breaches.
It can also be difficult to gain complete visibility across dynamic and rapidly changing cloud
environments — limiting your ability to enforce security at scale. On top of these challenges, cloud
governance is critical to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and security policies as
Because cloud deployments are not just implemented once and left untouched, organizations need
to consider how to integrate security into their CI/CD pipeline and software development lifecycle.
Implementing a security solution that addresses cloud challenges requires deep security and cloud
expertise that organizations often do not have.
Once in the cloud, organizations manage and create environments via automation, adapt their
workloads to changes by automa

Fulfilling the security and compliance obligations within the AWS Shared Responsibility Model is critical as organizations shift more of their infrastructure to the cloud. Most infrastructure and application monitoring solutions haven’t caught up to meet these new requirements, forcing IT and security teams to resort to traditional monitoring strategies that don’t allow for innovation and growth.
Join us for this webinar to learn how Splunk and AWS give you end-to-end visibility across your applications and help quickly detect potential security threats. Find out how Experian leveraged Splunk Cloud to deliver log data in near real-time to their operations teams for analysis and monitoring, roll out new features/updates faster, create reusable features to deploy in multiple customer environments to scale with their business, and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.
Poor visibility into cloud deployments makes it difficult for organizations to enforce security and compliance across their cloud environment. Check Point CloudGuard Dome9 on Amazon Web Services (AWS) can help you gain deeper visibility of your traffic and configurations with automated assessments that strengthen your security posture and help you fulfill your part of the Shared Responsibility Model.
Join the upcoming webinar with Check Point, Veracode, and AWS. Learn how Veracode improved their security posture using Check Point CloudGuard Dome9 on AWS.
Containers have become the new infrastructure
standard for development teams. While the “DIY
container approach” (un-orchestrated containers)
still has its use cases (e.g. low latency, longer
compute jobs, predictable traffic), production-grade
deployments require orchestration. DevOps teams
are increasingly leveraging the benefits of Kubernetes
and accelerating its adoption, taking it from a 27%
adoption rate in 2018 to a 48% adoption rate in 2019
according to the RightScale “2019 State of the Cloud
Report,” from Flexera. The same report also positions
Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS)
as one of the fastest-growing managed Kubernetes
offerings available, with a 44% adoption rate.
Previously, containers were a technology deployed
by individual teams – and were typically used for
“application testing” in the enterprise world. Today,
many organizations are now not only seeing the
benefits of operationalizing containers to deploy
production applications, but also re-positioni
This paper covers the 7 essential hotline features to look for in a solution, the 4 best practices for creating and maintaining an effective hotline, and the HR potential of the traditional hotline to organizations that maintain locations, agents, or contractors outside the country.

HR execs are not finding their budgets rising at the same levels as their workforce requirements. By 2020, the global labor market faces a shortage of 38-40 million college educated workers and 45 million secondary educated workers1. Despite the change catalyst that the mounting crisis demands, many organizations have not adjusted their strategies. Why would an organization race to develop skills by investing the same portion of their budget in classroom approaches and build training that they could buy? To help organizations find a smarter way out of the talent crisis, the Director of Research at the world’s leading learning analytics firm compared the results of Skillsoft elearning to classroom and internally developed elearning benchmarks. The results were clear; Skillsoft provides a solid answer to the global talent imperative.

While we tend to think about mobility largely as a consumer phenomenon, it is also changing how the workforce carries
out business. With so much being done beyond traditional office walls, many insurance companies, financial service
organizations and even government agencies are adopting mobile tablets and smartphones as productivity tools for
agents, representatives and personnel, and developing enterprise apps for these devices.
Small and medium businesses (SMB) are the backbone of America, generating annual revenues that can reach $8.1 million [based on SMB’s with less than 100 employees]. These SMBs employ up to 99.7 percent of all employees in America, and 39 percent of these employees fill high tech jobs. SMBs have advantages over larger organizations when recruiting top talent to help drive their small enterprise. This white paper will further examine the essential components and justifications that CEOs, hiring managers and business owners alike should consider when developing and deploying their hiring strategy and processes.

Economic and social factors are transforming the way in which organizations define today’s workforce. The confluence of a growing millennial workforce that values flexibility, the rise of automation, and the increasing prevalence of telework challenges organizations to recognize that a workforce is comprised of more than full-time, 9-to-5, career-track employees.
This altered definition of work will ultimately force companies to adjust their recruitment strategies in favor of what candidates are looking for from employers and how such a wide and increasingly remote talent pool will be managed.
To understand the ways in which today’s workforce is evolving and the reasons why recruiters must find ways to adapt to this changing definition of talent, it’s valuable to look at an overview of today’s workforce…This report does just that.

Managing talent and how that talent performs is a high-stakes arena that takes up a lot of time and resources. How are your competitors tackling these issues?
Every HR department is trying to find more efficient ways to provide service to employees, from answering routine requests to dealing with complaints and whistleblowing. For efficiency, employee satisfaction, and legal compliance, it’s important to track, monitor, and respond to all these employee actions. The consequences of having complaints and allegations fall through the cracks are two-fold: employees feel ignored, and lawsuits become more likely and harder to defend. As a result, many organizations are buying or building systems to manage this important tracking process.
To find out who’s doing what and what’s working in the real world, BLR conducted a Case Management Survey in February 2016.

In the Safety Forms & Technology: Trends for 2016 survey sponsored by ProntoForms, we sought to learn how environmental, health, and safety (EHS) professionals are leveraging technology in the use of safety forms and metrics at their organizations and worksites. We surveyed 473 EHS pros to find out how their companies are approaching these issues in the real world, including:
•How safety forms are created, processed, and stored;
•What types of devices are being used in the field;
•The most common standards and metrics used by EHS departments;
•The efficiency of safety incident reporting at respondents’ organizations;

There’s strong evidence organizations are challenged by the opportunities presented by external information sources such as social media, government trend data, and sensor data from the Internet of Things (IoT). No longer content to use internal databases alone, they see big data resources augmented with external information resources as what they need in order to bring about meaningful change. According to a September 2015 global survey of 251 respondents conducted by Harvard Business Review Analytic Services, 78 percent of organizations agree or strongly agree that within two years the use of externally generated big data will be “transformational.” But there’s work to be done, since only 21 percent of respondents strongly agree that external data has already had a transformational effect on their firms.

The EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) became enforceable on May 25, 2018, and privacy laws and regulations around the globe continue to evolve and expand.
Most organizations have invested, and continue to invest, in people, processes, technology, and policies to meet customer privacy requirements and avoid significant fines and other penalties. In addition, data breaches continue to expose the personal information of millions of people, and organizations are concerned about the products they buy, services they use, people they employ, and with whom they partner and do business with generally.
