This Executive White Paper, sponsored by Pitney Bowes Marketing Solutions, a provider of web-based marketing automation solutions, examines the competitive advantages offered by marketing automation portals and the potential impact of these types of portals on marketing campaigns deployed in complex, rapidly evolving markets.
For many organizations, portals are an increasingly important way of providing critical application access to partners and/or customers. Assembled from multiple web applications, portals introduce unique identity management challenges, because unlike internal employees, users from customers or partners aren't typically stored in the corporate directory. This forces administrators to maintain multiple user-stores and end-users to register, and manage logins for, each app individually.

Meaningful Use Stage 2 increases many of the thresholds that were in Stage 1, but the main focus of Stage 2 is on exchanging structured information among providers and patients. With less than 7% of EHR vendors certified, are your systems and providers ready?
Customer and supplier portals are one of the many fruits borne from the
age of digital transformation. However, the level of accommodations that
portals provide to customers and suppliers has spawned a whole new
set of challenges that didnít exist less than a decade ago. Chief among
these is something referred to as ďportal fatigue.Ē

term, as itís often their job to either retrieve orders from a customer portal
or submit invoices directly into customersí AP systems. On paper, these
tasks donít seem all that odious. But when you consider the amounts of
different portals being used, and the fact that not every user is trained
on each portal, itís easy to see why portal fatigue is a very real and
concerning problem for todayís businesses.
