A truly hybrid IT infrastructure should support any and all workload types, letting applications run optimally on their own natural footprints or environments, whether bare-metal servers, scale-up virtualization, Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), from either private or public clouds. It should not be a singular environment that (unsuccessfully) attempts to handle all types of workloads, nor should it consist of separate IT infrastructures that cannot communicate with each other. The Red Hat® portfolio provides the open hybrid IT fabric required to seamlessly enable both traditional (stateful) and new, agile, cloud-native (stateless) workloads.

The NetApp flash portfolio is capable of solving database performance and I/O latency problems encountered by many database deployments. The majority of databases have a random I/O workload that creates performance problems for spinning media, but is well-suited for today’s flash technologies. NetApp has a diverse enterprise-class flash portfolio consisting of flash in the storage controller (Flash Cache™ intelligent caching), flash within the disk shelves (Flash Pool™ intelligent caching), and all-flash arrays (EF-Series and All-flash FAS). This portfolio can be used to solve complex database performance requirements at multiple levels within a customer’s Oracle environment. This document reviews Oracle database observations and results when implementing flash technologies offered within the NetApp flash portfolio.

For decades, large companies have been wary of corporate venturing. So why are more and more smart companies going VC to find their next breakthroughs? Compiling a cloud services comparison is a daunting task in the rapidlyevolving cloud environment. There are thousands of cloud services, dozens of cloud service providers, and numerous Infrastructure-as-aService (IaaS) providers offering pay-as-you-go pricing models—each one frequently changing and upgrading their portfolios. We have chosen to limit our cloud services comparison to the top three IaaS providers providing service in the Western Hemisphere—Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)—because, not only are these the IaaS providers most organizations are familiar with, they are also the IaaS providers whose services most organizations are likely to compare. This eBook provides an introduction to the range of services offered by the leading cloud service providers, information on regions and availability zones, a breakdown of cloud storage services, and more, to help inform you on your multicloud journey.

OneLogin’s cloud identity management platform spans the entire application portfolio with secure single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), user provisioning, integration with common directory infrastructures such as Active Directory (AD), Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), and various cloud directories, and more. We recommend the following: • IT departments leverage OneLogin for all their identity management needs • IT departments educate users about security and safe sharing • App owners enable Security Assertion M

IBM’s Spectrum Protect offering boasts more than 20 years of achievement in the protection and recovery of key IT systems. So, it would be easy to suppose that IBM’s new Spectrum Protect Plus and Spectrum Copy Data Management software offerings simply represent “Spectrum Protect with extra features.” That assumption would be incorrect. They are standalone, reimagined approaches aiming to solve a daunting IT challenge—virtualization protection/recovery—and aspiring to attain a coveted IT outcome—effective data management and enablement (DM&E), referred to by many as “copy data management” (CDM).
