In response to concerns raised by healthcare leaders that the absence of adjustment for socioeconomic status (SES) and race characteristics in patient populations impedes the fair comparison of hospitals on risk-standardized 30-day unplanned readmission rates, Truven Health AnalyticsTM evaluated the extent to which risk-adjusted readmission rates for acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, and pneumonia are affected by adjustments for community-level SES factors through its Community Need Index (CNI) and patient race. Secondary DNS (sometimes referred to as multi-DNS) operates in an “always on” manner to complement your existing infrastructure as an additional authoritative DNS service. When an end user’s recursive server initiates a DNS request, both the “primary” DNS service and the “secondary” DNS will respond as soon as they receive the request. The response that reaches the recursive server first will be passed back to the end user, completing their request.

With this new solution, Aviva has reduced costs by replacing proprietary licensing fees with Red Hat’s flexible, cost-effective subscription pricing model. In addition, hosting the new application locally on-premise has improved response times for end users, helping Aviva bring new services to market faster.
